Final Farewell to a Gospel Legend, Andrae Crouch

TBR — The Gospel Community, Music Industry, Close Friends and Family Members gathered at the West Angeles Church of God In Christ, located at 3600 Crenshaw Blvd in Los Angeles, California Tuesday night to celebrate the life and legacy of Gospel Pioneer Andrae Crouch.  Through songs, poems and memories, the Gospel Community gave their best allowing their feelings to be known.

Performances were given by CeCe Winans, BeBe Winans, Shirley Caesar, Yolanda Adams, Donnie McClurkin, Fred Hammond, Kim Burrell, Erica Campbell, Israel Houghton, Ledisi and many more.

It was truly a memorable evening followed by a breathtaking homegoing service on Wednesday that compared to no other.

The funeral was officiated by Bishop Kenneth Ulmer, with Pastor Marvin Winans singing a special tribute to Pastor Crouch. The services included appearances and performances by Rev. Jesse Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Yolanda Adams, Kurt Carr, Donnie McClurkin, Donald Lawrence, Karen Clark-Sheard, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Fred Hammond, BeBe Winans, CeCe Winans, Kirk Franklin, Dr. Bobby Jones, Kim Burrell, Pastor Shirley Ceasar, Edwin Hawkins, Lynette Hawkins-Stephens, David and Nicole Binion, Erica Campbell, Smokey Norful, Richard Smallwood, Israel Houghton, Bryan Duncan, Ledisi, Tata Vega and more to be announced. An all-star band has been assembled by Mano Hanes and Bill Maxwell, including an 80-voice choir.

In addition, video tributes were also shown by Bishop T.D. Jakes, Kenneth Copeland and Michael W. Smith.

Also in attendance showing their support, but not performing were Tina Campbell, Warren Campbell, Teddy Campbell, Anthony Brown, Stephen Hurd and David and Tamela Mann.

May we continue to keep the family of Andrae Crouch lifted before the Lord in prayer.
